My favourite photos of the day.
This is the first red bodied damselfly I have seen here. It was a fair few meters away on a swaying leaf so I couldn’t get the best clear macro quality shot but I thought this was still a pleasing photo overall.
Grasshopper or locust, I am not really sure which. They come in various sizes and colours. This one has an interesting hairiness to the edge of his body.
This little frog appeared on a leaf right outside my door just after the rain started earlier. He let me get very close with the camera.
This is a tiny flower but a small bee managed to get into it just the same.
This extraordinary little butterfly has see through wings like stained glass windows. His wings are edged with a blue colour. He is one of the prettiest day time flyers I have seen. I thought at first he was a moth but then considered that Moths are nocturnal and this little guy was walking round my plants in full sunlight.
