Here are my favourite photos of the day. This first lizard I do not know the name of but he is my favourite. I love the shape of his tail, almost unreal like a crazy coat hook in it’s beautiful curvature and the strange way it joins his body!
This baby bird is just a week old, just starting to get its feathers. for the first few days of its life its mother just sat on it keeping it safe and warm. It seemed to be a number of days before she started going out to collect food for it. It’s looking a lot bigger and stronger that the tiny naked body that popped out of the shell a week ago.
I noticed this pair of small orange stingless bees in what seemed to be the act of courtship. They flew around each other for a few minutes before facing each other stroking antennae together. It was lovely to watch!
Here is another un-named insect. Fascinating to see close up. They tend to fly into the house after dark for a photo session which I am only to happy for. I release them outside again afterwards though as too many house guests overnight isn’t ideal for a relaxing sleep.
The chestnut Mandibled Toucan is always a wonder to behold! He come by almost daily at the moment to eat some particular green palm nuts he seems very fond of.
These were taken using my Canon PowerShot SX60 HS

Our lives become beautiful not because we are perfect but because we put our heart into what we do.
