Happy Weekend to you !!
Here is some small but beautiful jungle life for you. This hairy catapillar looks fluffy enough to be strokable but the hairs are venomous so he is to be appreciated from a distance!
Butterflies are always to be found on these lanterns flowers. I need to get more of the plants growing close to the house so as to have LOTS of butterflies in the garden.
I don’t know the name of this beetle but he has died and been infested with a mushroom - the white thread that is winding through his body like a cotton thread is a fungus. It don’t know if that is what killed him or if it just took over once he died. I do see a number of insects under attack by various infesting type predators though.
These big grasshoppers come in a variety of colours but this was the first really Golden coloured one I have seen.
A spiders web drenched in rain drops is such a pretty thing. They amaze me always with their strength.
The Forest Giant flew close by again yesterday for me to take a couple of photos! He is so mesmerizing in flight I am still trying to capture a really nice piece of video to share with you. One day I shall get lucky.
