Follow the editing process of this photo in Photoshop CC 2017.
Instead of finding photos online that others had taken, I really wanted to use only my photos. Without a giant cave in the area (sadly), I found my material elsewhere:
Above are two rocks about eight inches wide.
Below is merely a rock in the center of the path, which made for a great addition, a patch of ferns which I used, but did not end up adding to the photo with the way it was cropped, but certainly would have been needed for the full image, and, lastly, a photo of someone jumping in a contrasting color to add to the dark product.
The next steps are in Photoshop CC 2017, where the photos are masked, cropped, and color matched, so it looks as if the light and darks were from the same area.
Some "mist" is added in the photo above by painting white onto a new layer and turning the opacity to about 40%, and the final step is filtering the edited photo with a few presets and other adjustments to make it complete!
