Everyday I am so thankful to have grown up in such a beautiful country. From towering mountains, lush forest, turquoise lakes and endless wild life, nowhere beats Canada. With an overwhelming urge to explore more of this world, I decided to start my journey close to home in the city of Banff, Alberta.
Our first stop was Moraine Lake. Although the weather didn't look promising, the foggy sky ended up making for a perfect addition to to the already stunning landscape before us.
After stopping at the famous Lake Louise, we started making our way along the scenic highway to Jasper.
After venturing through a series of catwalks at Johnston Canyon we came across multiple waterfalls, as well as a hidden gem off the beaten path.
Peyto Lake was my favourite place throughout our roadtrip. With only a short uphill climb to come to the summit, you were rewarded with an painting like view of mountains and turquoise water. I could have stayed there forever.
This is a roadtrip I've done three times now, and I can't wait to do it again. For more photos like this please visit www.savannahavril.com or follow me on instagram .
