This picture is that of the mighty River Periyaar in Kerala, situated in the south of India
The flow was real heavy as it was monsoon at the time, this photo was taken. Guards and lifeguards are present and visitors are allowed only till four in the evening. Since wild animals like elephants are present, people are discouraged to go deep inside.
The place is known as paaniyeli poru. People are allowed into further points, once the monsoon is over. It is a trek like experience, so it is wise to wear proper shoes. Those who like to bathe in the river can take extra clothing.
Visiting the place gives a special satisfaction as we feel one with nature.
