Sunday afternoons when I am not working I travel around the country and park up on top of the hills and make radio contact with other stations.
Sunday afternoon I was on top of the Quantock Hills in Somerset.
My furthest contact was in Saudi Arabia via Skywave where the signal bounces off of the atmosphere and many stations worked via Groundwave 150+ miles where the signal travels along the ground.
