Some of you may know that I was concerned about my kitty's ear. It was red, inflamed, and kitty was shaking his head and scratching it and it seemed to be making it worse.
I made an appointment with the vet to be on the safe side and while we were waiting for our appointment, I noticed that his twin kitty was taking care of the twin suffering in discomfort. In the middle of the night, he was licking the sore ear fervently while snuggling by his side. It really touched my heart thinking of how strong animal love is for one another.
This morning, kitty's ear looked much better, but he will still scratching and shaking his head so I kept his appointment. We borrowed a pet carrier and he meowed in fright on the way. I sat in the back seat to comfort him and my husband drove.
Upon arrival everyone fawned over his beauty and he received VIP treatment. The vet and his tech were awesome and quickly said that he is beautiful and in perfect condition. He weighs 14 pounds. His ear was sensitive like his skin and stomach. The vet thought that the dryer weather may be making him more sensitive and he smiled when I told him we run a humidifier around the clock.
This was the most amazing clinic with compassion people working there which put me at ease. I thought that they may make fun of me for worrying so and especially when nothing was wrong, but they were so nice. When we received our bill, I was very surprised because the vet waived the examination fee.
Kitty is back home and much more relaxed on the ride back home and he got a wonderful greeting from his twin. Today, I washed all the blankets in the house just in case it was an ear infection or mites. Laundry day is his favorite day of the week. I put the warm items from the dryer on top of him and he just relishes the warmth.
