Noble deer
This is the most common type of deer. In the mountains, reindeer make long seasonal movements, traveling 50 kilometers a day, sometimes even up to 150 kilometers in search of easily snow-covered slopes. In the hot deer cool down by entering the water. They alternate feeding with rest - they make rookeries in the grass, in the winter they trample snow, creating a warm hole. Deer eat at least 300 species of vegetation, including some poisonous plants. But they cannot eat needles, and sometimes they die, because they all ate from hunger. In late August, in early September, you can hear their famous roar, which spreads over several kilometers in the mountains. Severe moans change for a lingering rattling, which in males turns into a roar. Depending on the tone of the roar, females and males determine the strength of the opponent. Sometimes battles between males end with the death of both parties. The deer live in packs, at the head of which is usually the old female, but during the rut the male creates his own harem.
