Hello Steemians
Welcome to the continuation of my hike along the Gemsteltal. You can look up the first part here.
After a while the path led over a wooden bridge to the other side of the Gemstelbach, which gradually took on the wildness of a mountain creek.
Slowly but steadily the path led further up and thus bringing the main peaks of the valley closer into view.
To the left the "Walser Geißhorn" (2366 m), to the right the "Kleiner Widderstein" (2236 m)
A junction leads up towards the climbing route on the "Kleiner Widderstein". But not today...
In the shadowy cavities the snow lasts well into the summer.
The destination of today's hike comes into view, the hosted mountain hut "Hintere Gemstelhütte". The prospect of a glass of fresh, cold buttermilk makes the last few metres fly by.
Thanks for watching and stay tuned for the next post of this Discovery Series!
