I made the plunge.
After watching many YouTubers using this camera.
It's the Ricoh GR3.
As an amateur street photographer, my recent acquisition of the Ricoh GR3 camera has ignited my passion and redefined the way I capture the essence of urban life as I explore shooting with it in the streets of Taiwan. The GR3's compact size and remarkable image quality make it an ideal companion for capturing the raw moments that unfold on the streets. Armed with a 24-megapixel APS-C sensor and a fixed 28mm equivalent lens, this pocketable powerhouse effortlessly delivers stunningly detailed shots. The GR3's ultimate feature for street photography is the snap focus feature, which allows me to seize spontaneous moments without having to autofocus and miss the moment (although I'm still working on judging the subject distance by eye for the pre-set focus distance).
1/30 f/2.8 ISO 1600
The leaf shutter being practically silent in street shooting scenarios basically empowers me to become an inconspicuous observer, seamlessly blending into the urban tapestry while preserving the authenticity of the scenes I capture. With built-in image stabilization, the camera minimizes the impact of camera shake, ensuring sharp and clear images, even in challenging lighting conditions. I have captured clear images at night with shutter speeds as low as 1/8 of a second.

With this exceptional camera in my hands, I'm ready to unlock new perspectives, telling the vibrant stories of the streets, one click at a time.
