Years ago I saw pictures in an Arizona Highways magazine of beautiful blue green waters, waterfalls, and lush vegetation. A few years ago while searching the internet for desktop wallpapers I ran onto these beautiful photos of a place called Havasupai. "I must go there" I thought, visions of romance under the falls and sunbathing in peace and solitude ran through my mind. Well, a few years later a friend calls me up and asks me if I want to go to Havasupai with him. Oh yea! I exclaimed and began to tell him all about the awesome photos and waterfalls. We were pumped and started getting ready for the adventure. To get there requires a hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, about 10 miles to the campground. We went in June when temperatures were in the triple digits(F). The hike was worth it! I packed my camera gear and for 5 days I was in heaven, a photographers heaven that is!
If anyone wants to know more details about the hiking, reservations, costs, etc. just ask. I have also uploaded a 5K version for desktops. Not sure if steemit is resizing these, may need to find a good photo service.
This photo is of Mooney Falls, the largest falls in Havasupai.
Photo taken with a Canon 6D using a 24-105mm f/4 L lens set at 50mm, settings were f/14, variable ND screw on tiffin filter, 1.3 sec shutter speed, 100iso.
