I have waited for a month for a new micro lens for my cell phone. It came today, and I have been playing!
I took a 6 by 8 mm Emerald cut Emerald, and took some pictures. Note that this is a good quality Emerald, but this magnification shows impurities that are natural, and very small. Also Emeralds are so rare now that they have a totally different scale for grading. In a normal this would be a VS rated stone, but with an Emerald it is considered a VVS to eyeclean! Emeralds are really that hard to come by.

The lens does work well, but it has a few problems. The illumination is too bright, and it washes out the top right of the picture. It also does not fit the phone unless I remove the case first. But the optics are trueOverall, I am happy with the purchase, and would give it an 8 on a scale of 10. I did not ding it for the case removal problem because there are too many phones, but the light should be shielded better.
