According to a World Health Organization report issued in 2010, Sub Saharan Africa is the continent with the highest incidence of HIV/AIDS in the world. And Benue State is the state with the highest incidence of HIV/AIDS in Nigeria according to the same report.
As NYSC Corps members on their compulsory one year of National Service to their fatherland, we decided to organize a market and town wide sensitization on HIV/AIDS as well as provide free screening and testing for the locals all in a bid to ensuring a HIV free Nigeria and consequently, an HIV free world.
