A few more photos from my weekend. As mentioned in my previous posts I've been playing around with a new camera. Here are a few shots from our local beach here in Norfolk, UK.
These were taken first thing in the morning between 06:30 and 07:30 if I remember correctly. I wanted to see how the camera handled low light and whether or not it could capture the colours created during sunrise. I'm so pleased with the results! Saying that the most colourful ones are using some defaults from Adobe Lightroom.
This first shot was probably my favourite of the morning and I'm not too sure why. Probably just the fact that I think it will print well and possibly make a good canvas print for somewhere in the house.
My aim with this second shot was to see whether I could capture the greens on the dark rocks. I think it came out OK.
This was one of those point and shoot moments. Around half way through my walk the sun broke through the clouds and there was an awesome reflection across the North Sea. It's not as brilliant as it was there but just about managed to capture it.
Here I simply wanted to capture the cloud formation which looked pretty amazing. No doubt there's a proper name for it but I've not a clue!
Finally I wanted to try and capture the movement of the water. I made my own life difficult by not taking a tripod with me, shooting such shots freehand can be a little tricky due to the longer exposure times. It was reasonably successful. I love the milky effect the longer shutter speed has on the water.
Thanks for looking.
