I've taken a little break over the past week to concentrate on some training and to spend a little more time with the kids; I thought today a good time to return with another old photograph. I think this one may have appeared on steemit so apologies if a duplicate.
This was taken on the 21st May 2007 when the whole family visited the Isle of Wight to scatter my late father's ashes on the beach outside his favourite hotel. Carisbrooke Castle was completed around 1600 but a fortification wall was built around 1000 AD. It is thought the site may have been occupied as far back as Roman times but this has never been proven.
It's a stunning location and I'd definitely recommend a visit should you be in the area.
