I grew up in a small Buckinghamshire village located in the Chiltern Hills in the South East of the UK. Being very rural it was a fantastic place to grow up due to being surrounded by endless farmland to explore; a child of the late 70's it was very normal for our parents to send us off out in the morning and we'd return home in the evening when we were hungry (usually covered in mud!).
We moved away from Buckinghamshire to the east coast in 2017 and although I have no regrets I do miss the sites, sounds and beautiful surroundings immensely.
This photo was taken a few miles from were I lived in the village of Marsworth which includes a reservoir or two. I think this was Startops Reservoir.
This photo was taken on 15th November 2007 and was edited in Lightroom to make it look a little dreamy.
And here's a slightly less dreamy version of the same image.
