Accidents on our roads in Kenya has consumed many lives. It is a killer almost at the top of the list. The NTSA group which was employed to curb accidents failed miserably. They inherited the traffic police disease of taking bribes.
This petroleum tank veered off the road and found itself in the forest and off the road. As it rolled, the driver and his co-driver were thrown out and rolled over by the tank. Luckily enough, the tank carrying a load of petrol never caught fire.
It has been the habit of the community to come and draw petrol to sell to get some money. Often a person comes over with a cigarette and blows many ablaze. This one was never got the same treatment as police came immediately and are guarding the vehicle as they wait to pull it from the bush and valley.
This photo I took at a distance. The white thing in the trees is the tank involved in the accident. Notice the blue sky and my finger as I took the photo.
Here the road the tank veered from is shown. Notice the panorama and the white tank in the bush.
The same image with the tank.
