The first dandelions started flowering in the garden ,where most people would consider it a weed but i do like to have some native flowers too in my garden and it's als good for the insects, since most insects are bound to native plants.
So even though i have a lot of cultivated perennials i also like to give room to some local weeds, it's a win wini help nature and i get more macro models in return.
Last month i even used meadowseed between the perenials to see how that would look hopefully it will bring loads of flowers this summer :)
Taraxacum officinale / dandelion / paardebloem
The Fritillaria imperialis / crown imperial /Keizers kroon is almost ready to flower .
I planted a yellow and an orange one still not able to see the difference :)
The anemone is almost done flowering
It looks like thee muscari will be flowering until the end of the month.
And i spotted some new garden wildlife on the Scilla mischtschenkoana a little baby grashopper and it's friend.
not really good camouflage
and here you can see his friend the aphid side by side on a flower.
And here we have a lady bug on another local weed that is ready to flower.
The lady bug is probably hunting for aphids
And here we have another flowering weed it looks like Glechoma hederacea / ground-ivy / hondsdraf but the flowers don't match so i'm still trying to figure out what it is.
but the flowers look amazing
And then we have a Harmonia axyridis / Asian lady beetle sitting on a young leaf of the cornus alba / dogwood / witte kornoelje
it kept sitting like this so no frontall view picture of this one today
