Hold Utca Food Market

In downtown Budapest we came across the Hold Utca Market. It was relatively small – but managed to pack plenty of delicious looking fruit,meat and vegetables in. Apparently the market aims to bring farm fresh produce into the center of the city, and as far as we could see; they succeeded. Upstairs, street food stalls line the gallery, selling a wide range of yummy looking Hungarian hot foods including gourmet burgers.
This market is housed in a grand old building with high vaulted ceilings and lovley wrought iron balustrades and staircases which gave the place a unique atmosphere. It was a fascinating hour that we spent here inspecting all of the local produce.
