It's the last day of 2017.
I woke up early today, to take a last shot of a 2017 morning.
The weather was playing ball. For days we had thick cloudcover, rain and wind. Today we only had slight wind. The sun was out and clouds were few about. The temperature was below 0, the air was clear.
I drove ontop of a hill some 50km from where I live. It wasn't that high but in Estonia there aren't any mountains or steep hills. Any elevation helps. Although the view was blocked towards the sun I found a different composition with the road - a winding road down the hill and up another. The colors were cold due to clear skies, but there was bright warm sunshine coming from beyond the horizon that bounced a little into the frame. I knew this was going to be a good shot.
I set up my tripod, mounted my Pentax K50 with DA*50-135mm, took a few test shots and I was set.
