After taking the first shot I turned around and walked in the middle of the field. I walked until the hill I was on started sloping down and the sight on distant forests was clear. I wanted to capture the awe of the clouds, but also get the distant trees into the frame so I decided to make a panorama. I used my DA*50-135 at 50mm in portrait orientation and took around 10 images. Each image I took 2 times to make sure there was no motion due to wind. I also used a remote trigger to initiate every shot with a 3 second delay.
I ended up with a slightly bigger image, but it didn't work good. I cropped it so the fir trees in the foreground were in the bottom left corner. Leaving room anywhere made them distracting.
The settings for this shot were the same as the previous:
ISO100
f/7.1
50mm
1/6s
A quite simple panorama. I did edit the sky to make it more warm and appealing.
I like how the sky is lit by the sun, but the ground is still in darkness.
I hope you enjoy it!
