I like Safayet’s smile and his hairstyle and he told me that he likes the way I smell and my mischievous manners. We have been friends for the last 5 years. Any fight with him would upset me for days. There was hardly anything that we hadn’t shared with each other as friends: from the homemade cakes that our mothers made for us to the tiffin’s we were bringing from home or the Guava from our trees.
Once I went to my uncle’s house for two days far from our village. I cried for Safayet and I could not even eat anything the whole day. I did not play with anybody; I was lifeless without him. When I returned from my uncle’s place and I told Safayet how much I missed him, he only smiled at me but his eyes were wet!
*Our favorite place to play is by the river. We go there almost every day. Safayet is reckless, and will often jump into the water where it is shallow dragging me along. We will be friends forever;
