Don't have much to say today but had to share this picture of the sunrise this morning. Amazing colors.
We were able to get out yesterday and we headed to the
Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center in Stevenson Washington.
It was a beautiful day out which made the hour drive down the river quite nice.
We saw a logging truck from the 1940s. still runs, they say!
We saw some cannonballs.
We also saw the biggest steering wheel I have ever seen in my life. This thing was the wheel for the Bailey Gatzert, a ferry that use to run the Columbia River.
The Bailey Gatzert was a famous sternwheel steamboat that ran on the Columbia River and Puget Sound from the 1890s to the 1920s. This vessel was considered one of the finest of its time. It was built in Ballard, WA.
On the way home stopped at Walking Man Brewing tap house and found the immortal words of Homer (J Simpson) on the wall of the bathroom.
