Today I visited a fisherman's village near my hometown and took some pictures.
I needed a break from writing essays for university and the weather was nice, so I took a bus to the nearby village called "Wieck". Times ago it was built by fishermen who mainly catched herrings in the baltic sea, but today it is a popular tourist spot especially in summer. The bridge below is its most famous building, it's about 130 years old.
The ships above are still used to catch fish. There are several stores where you can buy different sorts of fresh fish and there are also some good seafood restaurants.
You can even find some art in form of wooden figures when you visit Wieck. I think the coolest ones are these three heads. As I walked outside the village and to the shore, the wind becomes stronger and stronger. I entered a path that was build over the water and nearly cried because of the cold, stormy air.
On the fence of this path hang many colourful love locks, it is also the outermost point of Wieck. It's making me somehow happy to see these little heartwarming things in such a rough place 💖
Then I went refreshed and satisfied back to the bus. I hope you also had a good monday.
