At the moment, I kind of feel like a worker bee collecting pollen for the hive. The hive however is Queen-less and the worker bees organise themselves as best they can to create a place where the colony can survive and hopefully thrive in the future to arrive.
Someone mentioned in DM to me that they have noticed me buying small amounts of Steem with my SBD on the internal markets lately. Yes, this is the case and I also buy some on external markets too. The reason I use the internal market also is to make absolutely sure I do power some up as sometimes I might take some SBD out and sit on it or buy something else in the meantime. Overall though, I have powered up more Steem than I have earned which is something I am pretty happy with considering my trading noobness.
I am unsure if I am doing the right thing at times by having the vast majority of my holdings in Steem but, I think that if the hive is able to pull together, the future is incredibly bright for the Steem blockchain.
Someone said the other day in a comment on a post along the lines of, 'there is no point thinking about what one can't affect'. This was said in regards to spending time thinking and posting about Steem related issues when I have no direct influence over what actually happens here as my stake is too low.
This may be the case of course but, I am also an invested member of the hive and spending time thinking about what that means to me not only motivates me to work harder but, makes me think more about the community itself and, what I can do for it. Sure, a lot of the time I post some photos and some thoughts about this and that or some fiction stories but, I am hoping that the stuff I post about Steem or the platform help others think about their place here also.
I am also hoping that they are powering up a little of their SBD also as it will be their future stake in the platform and even though it might seem relatively small and insignificant now, it might be a lot more valuable in the future and much more useful than many have imagined at this moment.
There is always a risk though isn't there? Always the chance that everything here collapses and goes to zero. Meh. If you are going to take risks, take them on something with a significant upside and this definitely has it.The asymmetry on risk/reward is well and truly weighted on the reward side of the scale.
But, when it comes to being one of the bees enough have to take the pollen back to the hive to make some honey.
