This picture is from a honey bee farm that colonizes them artificially for commercial end use. These honey bees are tamed to some extent and colonized in a wooden frame like structure, as depicted in the picture, for their survival and growth. The taming is possible because of their close affinity to the queen. If the queen is identified and treated with care, others simply follow and gather around the queen.
These frames are accommodated in a box and is placed in a shady place, where no disturbance takes place. Army of bees set out for collection from the neighborhood area and fill the reservoir within the wooden frame. Honey has tremendous medicinal value and are commonly used in Ayurvedic practices.
