Imagine these choices. The woman called the store, a day after the holidays, adamant on a holiday miracle. ‘I’m looking for a size…’ she trailed off. ‘I actually returned that exact size to your store two weeks ago.’ Buyer’s remorse followed like a shadow given these countless options. A rude awakening startled the fatigued security guard. Before the woman on the phone entered, he caught some rest. His right foot up, perpendicular at his left knee, he leaned leftwards on the glass in the warmth of the sun. Then, Ms. Guided burst thru, uncertain why a size she returned two weeks prior wasn’t available the day following Christmas.
“You looked at it, buy it today.”
Emails had as much attitude. Imagine friends sitting in your room while you wrote a blog post to the musical stylings of Hans Zimmer. Your camera loaded with an SD card to capture moments at the same time friends wouldn’t stop reeling at the sound of a mechanical keyboard amidst an orchestra in concert.
One look at a product online solicited insistent emails, digital pressure. The solicitations were almost as bad as those people who went door-to-door. Verbal taunts back and forth about your names was banter between friends, but these automated approaches were unfamiliar as an easy time at the DMV.
Given the presence of all the pieces in the right place, even miracles could happen. Your friends’ comments could make you smile, but inwardly, the focus reminds you of the task at hand. I still hadn’t finished this title lent to me. He’s no library, and I owe it back to him. Yet today’s questions lie in the pages of these readings, and these readings link to my writings- the journey continues. Inflation was as unfashionable as a dirty room. Then clean up was as cool as reading up.
Time to read the room. And kick these guys out.
