Last week I bought you goats, this week Meerkats!!!

The meerkat is a small carnivore belonging to the mongoose family. They are typically found on african deserts, however these little beauties were shot at a local zoo ;)

Meerkats are super social animals and some live in families of up to 50 or more members!!! They take it in turn to look out for predators with one or more meerkat on ‘watch’ duty. As soon as a potential predators is spotted they give a small bark and whistle and the group will quickly shoot down into their burrows.
