Hi Steemians
Its been soooo long since I last posted, sorry!!! Just started a new job and things are quite intense…
Anyway I finally managed to get out the house and into the peak district to try and capture some shots of the Red Deer

It's currently rutting season! This takes place between the middle of September to the middle of November, herds gather on the Eastern Moors area of the peak district. One of the best places to view the rut is for the trig point on White edge which is situated behind Curbar edge.

Thought to have once been escapees from Chatsworth’s domestic herds, the Red Deer of the Eastern Moors now roam wild. “Males are bellowing - and battling as they compete for hinds, and the population on the Moor almost doubles as animals gather in from the surrounding woodlands.”

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get that close 😔, and didn’t witness any Stag on Stag action, though the misty weather really helped add some atmosphere to the shots :)
