The first set of park rangers approached us to warn us about our fire, but the second set of rangers came to warn us of heavy bear activity. I was in constant fear of bear attacks but spoiler alert, I was not mauled by a bear. We never even saw a bear, but we did see bear scat not too far from our campsite.
I went on a four day camping trip this weekend with some friends. Our campsite was an absolutely beautiful location on a peninsula located by Gross Reservoir in Colorado.
We enjoyed amazing views from our camp of both the reservoir and mountains. I hiked to higher grounds to take great photos to share with you.
This was a great weekend of camping and I was happy to get it in before the fire ban comes. There are already two fires in the state right now so it may come soon if the rain doesn't come first. I'd like to remind anyone who goes camping to be sure to put your fire out cold to the touch. Fire safety is important.
Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.
