This is the entrance to the Lemaire Channel - Cruise Ships often use it as the Gate on their way to Antarctica because of it's beauty.

I love the strong contrast of white and black. This is likely basalt rock, though I could be wrong about that. Millions of years ago, Antarctica had many Volcanos, that produced a lot of basaltic lava. You can read a lot about that here:
