Hey again fellow Steemers,
For today's blog, I wanted to share a couple of shots which I took of the Parliament of Canada at sunrise two days ago. Have you ever been or wanted to go to Canada's capital Ottawa or seen the Canadian Parliament? let me know in the comments at the end of the post :)
| Settings: | ISO 200, f/6.4, 1/80 sec |
| Camera: | Fujifilm XT-2 |
| Lens: | Fuji 18-55 f/2.8-4.0 (35mm) |
The photo above was one of my favorites and was taken about 10 minutes after sunrise. The incredible colors are due to the sun rising behind some light cloud cover. At the bottom of the photo, you can see the frozen Ottawa river. To get this particular shot, I actually had to walk on the snow-covered ice, but thank goodness it was -10 degrees so the ice was frozen and relatively safe for me to walk on :)
| Settings: | ISO 200, f/5.6, 1/170 sec |
| Camera: | Fujifilm XT-2 |
| Lens: | Fuji 10-24 f/4.0 (10mm) |
For this second photo above, I walked further along the river and positioned myself under one of the big bridges which crosses the river. I thought it would create some nice leading lines which can draw the viewers eye to your image!
| Settings: | ISO 200, f/7.1, 1/240 sec |
| Camera: | Fujifilm XT-2 |
| Lens: | Fuji 10-24 f/4.0 (10mm) |
My last shot of the day (pictured above), unlike the previous two, was quite overexposed as the sun had now risen. This meant that I was trying to capture less of the colors in the sky, but rather using the powerful light from the sun to add life to the foreground, which in this case were the flags.
I hope you liked this photo set! Steemit has really motivated me to go out and take more pictures (even if the temperature is -10) to share with you all.... So from the bottom of my heart, thank you all for your kind support!
Be sure to comment if you have any questions about photography, Canada or anything that might cross your mind!
Until next time,
Tristan
