So me and my best friend have this kind of strange tradition. We are not the selfie kind of people, but once a year we go into the tulip fields when they are in bloom and we take a lot of pictures. We stop at a lot of different fields. They are usually in bloom for about 3 weeks. So when the day arrives that we are both free, we drive for about an hour and stop have a photoshoot in the tulip fields. It might sound a little bit ridicules, but it's now an ongoing thing for about 3 years.
This in 2014. It was sort of unexpected and not planned at all. In the next years we tried to match our clothing to the colors of the tulips we bring a suitcase full of clothing, make up hairdryers everything.... I told you it might get a bit strange.
I think this is one of the prettier pictures I've taken that day. I didn't bring my SLR that day unfortunately. I've lost the pictures from 2015. My laptop crashed and I didn't have a back-up, but the year after that, it was all about yellow.
The dress was intentional this time, I bought it at a flea market. .
This picture gives a better overview of the field. For those who don't live in Europe. We don't have any mountains in the Netherlands, like none. Most of our country is grass, tulips or water.
Well this is the last one. Of 2017. I decided to go for a more variety in color this time. Unfortunately it was a bit grey and not as beautiful als the previous years. But it was still worthwhile. I highly recommend visiting the Netherlands at the end of april. Just search for the tulpenroute and embarrass yourself in front of the Chinese tourist group.
