Hello Steemians,
last weekend we traveled to Austria (Kleinwalsertal) for a little hiking trip. Actually it was a family trip with may parents, sister and her family and my grandma. The bigger part stayed in the valley to walk with my sisters kids and we took the cable car up the Walmendingerhorn together with my mother and my grandmother. Trust me, this 77 year old lady has power and strength some 30 years younger don't even have.
We decided to take the path over the "Ochsenhofer Köpfe" which is on the top of the mountain chain and goes up and down all the time as the chain consists of around 7 tops. Ochsenhofer Köpfe means something like "Oxen heads". It's a narrow path and mostly stony but it's worth the view on both sides beside the path. You start at a height of around 2.000m and when we arrived at around 10am we had only 4,8°C. All pictures were taken only with a Samsung A5 and a Samsung S7.
Here you can see the cable car station in the right upper corner. From up there you walk down the way you see below and then up to the Ochsenhofer Köpfe of which you can see two right in the front:
After we made it over the Oxen Heads we walked down to a small alpine hut to have a short break. Afterwards we moved on down in the valley. On the way down we had to discuss with horses and cows if they could please let us pass because they blocked the paths.
Great day with the best weather and
an unhurried hiking trip with three of my favorite women!
Thank you for reading :)
