The area I grew up in, other side of the road. Horrible post babyboom neighborhood to rehome all the people that got displaced as Amsterdam gentrified and there were no homes in smaller towns and cities. Pretty bleak, but the surrounding area is great and only 45 minutes from the beach on bicycle, so in the end it was a pretty good place to grow up.
