I’ve been revisiting my old work to see if I can draw inspiration by viewing them with fresh eyes. My old style was more spontaneous, raw and minimalistic. Nowadays, I spend more time thinking about lighting, color stories and the overall mood. Somehow I’d like to infuse my old spirit into my current style.
This edit is somewhat of a preview to a new more | less set that I’ll be releasing soon. I used to really love my photography in black and white so I thought I’d try sharing this alternative shot. I’ve also been resisting the urge to cut my hair short again. I was even talked out of getting bangs. Honestly, I don’t need to do anything different with my hair but I get a little bored with it sometimes. I’ve got a few throwbacks below..damn my hair was long.
These two images are from a set I shared on one of my old private social media accounts. Most of those images are monochromatic. I made the mask pictured by hand. This set was also inspired by a story I read in the manga Psyren about a black sheep who turned it’s back on it’s brethren. As a result, it transformed into a wolf.
