Hi Steemians!
We are in the process of moving at the moment so I don't have the time to go out on adventures, the house is a mess and we have boxes everywhere! Where we are moving to is full of so much inspiration that we are just beyond excited. I can't wait to share walks and adventures from our new home very soon. In the meantime it got me thinking about how important location is, not just the house. There are programmes called exactly that "Location, Location, Location". But when my parents moved earlier this year, to what can only be described as a haven!, I truly appreciated what location means and the effect it has on you everyday. Moving from a built up area to views like these below is such a dramatic change that of course it played a bit part happiness for them, they are the happiest I have known them and even though its a LONG drive to get there it makes me so happy knowing that they are where they belong.
Choosing the place you want to settle down and make roots in is a tough decision, it seems so daunting buying a house knowing that you will be tied down for a good few years, however, if you know it is the right one then that worry and anxiety completely disappear. Seeing as location is so important I think its worth sacrificing a lot to be where you want, instead of putting space and comfort ahead of that. I would rather live in a tiny house in an area that I can enjoy and love, than a huge house in an area I just can't stand looking at every day. Enjoying nature and the outdoors is a bit part of this, if you aren't an outdoors person then maybe location won't be such a big deal, but watching and admiring nature and how it changes everyday is amazing. Knowing that when you've had a long tough day you can nip down to the shore or the river and just be still and listen to the water or waves is just what I can't wait for. Watching all the changes in the clouds, the leaves on the trees and the wildlife is amazing. Hearing aeroplanes and traffic not so much! This place (below photographs) is idyllic, all these shots were taken over a period of 3 months, on various cameras so I'm sorry about the size of some! But hopefully it will give you a glimpse into how the same view never looks the same, and really make you think about what you want to wake up and see everyday, and do something about it., you only get one life, so you might as well spend it in your idea of heaven.
