Palm trees

Palm trees are amazingly tall with mostly very slim stems. On looking at them, one would think they can break easily at the blow of a very strong wind, especially for the very slim ones- which are usually the tallest, but this is not they case as they are very strong trees.

Several products are obtained from palm trees. One which many Nigerians and other Africans relish is palm wine which is obtained from the stem of the tree. Palm wine is served to entertain guests usually at ceremonies and some take casually it to enjoy themselves (taking too much of it could get one drunk).

The sound the leaves of the the palm trees make when wind blows on them can be soothing too.
