Written on the back: "Chief Spence and me the day I heard about my orders". The "me" being our Marine on the left, with Chief Spence on the right. Don't know for sure, but I think the orders he was talking about were orders sending him home (i.e. escaping from Viet-Nam). Not sure if all the Schlitz cans were celebratory or if that was just the normal, everyday amount. :-)
