I keep on updating you about all these celebrations involving Nature or fantasy things... How could I miss "INTERNATIONAL FAIRIES DAY" which is celebrated today 24th of June?
And here just a poem I wrote.... maybe it will become a song... who knows.
I don't see winged fairies in my garden but I do believe in the spirit of Nature and I believe in magic, that thrill that keeps us bewildered and wondering about things like a child.
There's a world in between
but to find the way in
first you must learn to see
how the light gather in beams
how the shadows drift then shift
revealing what's unseen
And in my slumber dreams come rushing in
the veil is tearing at the seams
I'm rising from the floor in endless spin
like a leaf than never settles in the wind
What's your favourite fairy tale?
I love fairy tales, since early age I've collected illustrated fairy books. In many ways they have inspired also my music and artworks. One of my favourite fairytales is "East of the Sun, West of the Moon" from Norway. It's very similar to Eros and Psyche Greek Legend with kind of a "Beauty and the Beast" retelling being the "Beast" a Polar Bear who is of course a cursed Prince.
What's yours?

Hello Summer
Above: one of my favourite bathing spots in Summer
And the air is full of wings
let your worries flow downstream
there's a world in between
and to find the way in
first you must learn to see
And remember if you believe in fairies, CLAP CLAP CLAP very hard :) that is what J. M. Barrie wrote in Peter Pan.
These past few days we've been on a roll, celebrating the welcome of Summer (Solstice was the 21st) and then MidSummer Celebrations all over the world. Last year I shared this video that honours the Latvian celebrations of Midsummer (it happens the night of 23rd of June). I recorded it in honour of my steemian friend and shared it last year. I share it now as soundtrack of this post as Līgo was precisely yesterday. This tradition includes bathing in the creeks and lakes, wearing a floral garland, worship Nature and the gifts it provides and I'm no Latvian but I fell in love with it and did this.
How did you all spend the Summer solstice?
Last year I already made a post about LITHA / Summer Solstice

We are halfway through the Wheel of the Year!
Just like All Hallows Eve they say they are days where the veil is thin and you can actually see the world fairy world ;-) and other worlds in between and beyond wink! :) Me and went out to a National Park and I did indeed bathed in the river and enjoyed the beauty of Nature in the most gorgeous landscapes, but that I'll leave for next post (It was the longest hike of my life, barely catching my breath)
Until next, keep the magic alive in your heart!
What are your plans for Summer?
Let me know in comments!
Besides healing my spirit in the green and bathing in creeks and ponds I want to organize to finish the artworks of my third album, among so many pending things that need tending and finishing. But there will be still time for leisure in the woods which has become in a way part of my work to (to remain inspired) Blessed LITHA (Summer solstice)
