A Bug’s Life.
You’re favorite non-professional photogropher sharing another picture taken with my iPhone 6s. Meet my buddy Flik. You might recognize from Disney’s 1998 classic movie, “A Bug’s Life”.
I took this picture last weekend in Oak Ridge, NJ. I was doing property preservation on an old rustic cabin built on Longwood Lake. It’s pretty amazing how the people of the commuity live along side of the lake. The lake is therapeutic, nature is so beautiful. For a moment while I was out there on a cigarette break, taking in my surroundings, I felt little envious of the neaighbors that were just sitting around enjoying the beautiful weather. Not because I was working while they were chilling, but because they get to wake up every single morning to this materpiece nature created, and they call home.
Naturally, I tried to take as many pictures as I could, without upsetting my partners on the job. “Bro you gonna help or what”. I’m sure you’re wondering, “where’s the pictures of the lake”, but this session is about my friend Flik.
I watched Flik for about 5 minutes before I even decided to take a picture of him. Something about him wandering around, doing whatever it is that ants do, was mesmerizing. Then I started to feel like he acknowledged I was there watching him, and like he started to put on a show for me. He went from running around doing ”ant work”, to posing for me like “come one man, look at me”. Or maybe I was just bugging, no pun intended.
I want to thank fellow steemian for sharing photo editing apps with me on my last post. I downloaded Adobe Photoshop express, which I used for this picture. Way better than apples crappy little editing options that the camera provides.
I hope you like the picture.
