Just sharing some photos of the lunar eclipse that is ongoing right now. Went to the lake with the boys and the wife and took these shots.
Here's what I've been able to capture. Good thing I remembered the settings for taking moon shots, and that the Canon G7x has a manual mode. :)
These shots were taken when the eclipse was near full. The shots are a bit blurred because I did not have a tripod earlier. I had to step down the shutter speed in order to be able to capture the shadows. Aperture was set at 2.8 (the widest available at the longest end of the g7x) and ISO boosted to 1000, tried pushing it to 1600 but there was too much noise for my taste.
While we're at it, took this long-exposure shot of Sampalok Lake as well :)
Exposure for this one was 30 seconds, I just placed the camera on the floor so it will be stabilized.
We had to go home after that because Zeppelin was starting to get bored lol.
