This is an issue that Steem may very well have to contend with in the near future. Especially, as the adoption of the platform is taken by the masses. However if Reddit was able to overcome its legality issues in regard to copywritten images, I don't see why Steem can't.
It's so interesting how many issues this platform is exposing. I think for the most part all of these issues will be resolved, but also, it will allow similar business models to grow and offer rewards as Steem does
