Here is a shot from a visit to the decimated lunar outpost. The decaying and twisted metal footings are all that remain after an explosion from a nearby oxygen generation plant had totally destroyed this luckily unpopulated structure. As can be seen, the American flag in far background is standing tall as a testament to our support and pledge to rebuild it. The impact from the blast has contorted and mangled the metal as well as flash-oxidized (rusted) its surface in a spectacular fashion which makes it appear decades old! It was a truly remarkable site to visit and I hope to visit it again once the new base has been constructed.

Reality: I took this shot visiting an old exploded flour mill, but the lighting and contrast really make this photo appear like it was taken on the moon!
