#1015 - Rainy Mount Mariglem Early Hike Shots for Friday.
Happy Golden Friday lovely Hiveans!
We made it! Today isn’t just about crossing finish lines but also about celebrating our Hive’s collective glow. Whether you’re wrapping up projects, sharing wins or simply breathing deep, this is our moment.Imagine our week’s efforts turning into something sweet, like sunlight turn into honey. Every message shared, ideas nurtured or challenge faced? That’s our golden nectar today.😉
Of we go as the darkness of dawn around 4am we embarked on our journey to Mount Mariglem of Zanbales while the air still thick with the scent of a recent rain that had fallen just an hour before when we arrived at the jump off area. The trail is a winding path through the rugged rocky terrain. My wife and I, accompanied by two friends, set off with the assistance of our local guide. The darkness was pierced only by the beam of my flashlight and the additional spares provided by our local guide and also lights from phones.
The difficulty rating of the hike was a mere 3 out of 9 but the cold temperature added an extra layer of challenge to our journey. The trail was rocky and uneven with uneven surfaces made of stones and wild plants roots. Luckily the recent rain had not turned it into a muddy quicksand which allowed us to navigate with ease. I wore hiking shoes while the tree were on hiking sandals and our guide? Flip flops 😂 he said he was used to it.
As we ascended, the dark landscape transformed before our eyes revealing shady vistas of beauty. We paused frequently and our cameras capturing the moments of experience. The photos we took shared here were snapshots of our journey, were not just memories but testaments to the power of the human spirit and the indomitable will to explore even in dull conditions😅.
Reaching Peak 3 which is still a long way to peak 5 which is the summit is already a milestone in our journey. The view from here was a panorama of wilderness and a sight that left us humbled and inspired. I had a diarrhea too when we went hiking so my normal strength and energy was way less but reaching peak 3 is already the toughest of the hike. More to follow as we continue our hike to the summit.
