#1122 - Stopover Shots at The Lion's Head in Kennon Road for Friday.
Good day amazing Hive friends across the globe! Friday is finally here. Take a deep breath and let go of any stress. May your day go by quickly and your heart be light. Have a wonderful Friday and a spectacular start to your weekend😉.
Moving now to our daily shots when our wonderful vacation in Baguio City - the City of Pines had come to an end and on the way while making the journey back to Manila. We took Kennon Road for the scenic views and it's also the closest.
I was accompanied by my wife and three of our good friends with their furry dog. It was already three and almost late afternoon and the sun was starting to dip through the pine trees in the mountains that lined the famous zigzag road.
Right through the curves was the iconic Lion's Head on the mountainside, a massive stone statue by the road that everyone knows, also marking that you are entering or leaving Baguio City.
We pulled over and hopped out. There's the mandatory photo session began immediately. We all gathered in front of the giant lion posing with l smiles capturing the memory of our trip.
We also checked out the stalls that line the area as it's a food haven. We bought some ube hopia that Baguio is famous for.
They also grabbed some ice cream in strawberry flavor which tasted fresh. We took photos of the food against the mountain backdrop. It was a delicious way to say goodbye to the Cordillera highlands.
There was also a statue of a figure which was completely headless. Then our friend gently lifted their dog and placed the animal right on top of the headless body. The dog looking out at the road perfectly.
It looked like the dog was the actual head of the statue haha! It was such a cute sight. We laughed until our stomachs hurt while snapping lots of pictures of the "dog-headed" figure.
Our hearts filled with laughter and ice cream, then we eventually got back on the road. That short stopover at the Lion's Head was the perfect way to transition from our vacation back to working reality. The drive to Manila was still 4 to 5 hour long but that funny moment with the Boston named made the journey feel light.
