#623 - Paoay Church Ilocos Norte.
A warm Monday evening fellow Hivers. Yesterday I made it home late already after accompanying my father to the lung center for his ctscan. I will go back there on Wednesday to get the results and hopefully nothing wrong with it. I also accompanied him back to his brother house where he is staying for the time being. He will go back to the province once he is done with all the follow up check.
Now for our daily shots we got here some photos of the Spanish era Paoay Church in the 1700s. It was midday when we got here and the sun was hot that time but the area is totally giving nostalgia back in time of the Spanish era. The front lawn is a big area covered with beautiful bougainvilleas in different colors.
Even on a hot day the wife still wanted to get some shots taken haha. This church is made out of mud bricks stack on each and withstood several strong earthquakes already.
Me and the wife posing at the front entrance. The mass was already over when we arrived Saturday noon so we just some memories via photos.
Thanks to one of our companion who took the shot.
Just me posing, thanks to the wife for taking the photo.😊 The church also have a bell tower separate to it and so far the tower is also in great shape.
The sun rays illuminated the upper portion of the frame. There was no cloud presence at all so the eat is really exhausting but people still find the time to be under the sun for a few moments.
The history of the church summarized in this tablet.
And this is what it looks like inside the church while it is currently empty.
