#855 - Sagada Sunrise at Pog-O Viewpoint for Sunday.
Happy Sabbath evening dearest Hiveans. It's a family day today and we just spent the day at home but in the wee hours we went to the university near our place for a quick walk and it was fruitful then we went home. Right after lunch wherein my mother in law prepared dish made out of vegetables in which was their pakbet version of the famed Ilocano dish, I still prefer the Ilocano version though which I have grown up accustomed to eating, then I went outside to collect all the dry garments which I have washed yesterday and folded it all while watching Netflix tv series. The series title is Outlast and it is on the second season already. There's two more episodes this coming Wednesday which I won't be able to watch soon because we were already on our way to a hike that time in Bakun Benguet which is the next town after Atok, the last place we visited a couple of months ago.
Now let's go to our daily shots. As the first light of dawn crept over the horizon, the Pog-O Viewpoint in Sagada came alive with a breathtaking spectacle. My wife and Dreb were already here ahead of time by about thirty minutes. Each of us got a hot cup of coffee while waiting for the sun to rise. The coffee was available from the owner of the house which the private property is on.
The sky was awash with hues of pink and orange, gradually giving way to a bright blue expanse that seemed to stretch on forever.
The viewpoint, perched atop a hill overlooking the rice terraces below, offered an unobstructed view of the surrounding landscape full of mountains and fog.
As the sun continued its ascent, the shadows of the mountains retreated, revealing the intricate details of the terrain below. Here's me doing that Kamehameha wave shot of Son Goku 😂.
The cool mountain air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and fresh earth, as if nature itself had orchestrated this symphony of awakening. Here is Dreb and my lovely wife who insisted we go here early.
The Pog-O Viewpoint was bathed in a golden light. The silence was broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves or the crunch of gravel beneath footsteps as early risers who came here patiently waited to pay homage to this natural wonder. My wife and I took turns to photograph each other with the gorgeous scene of nature that's behind us.
Follow me on my nature travels.
