#968 - Calle Crusologo in Vigan Ilocos for Friday's Shots.
Happy Thursday dearest Hive fam! 🌿 Today, let's be a sunflower and stand tall, seek light and turn challenges into growth. Our journeys are ours alone so don’t compare roots. Small acts of kindness plant forests. The weekend’s nearby already but today’s moments are our secret garden so let's tend them well. Shine unapologetically Hiveans😉! ✨ #ThursdayRoots #HiveGrow🌻
Moving on to our daily shots. A Nostalgic Morning at Calle Crisologo. Our family’s arrival at Calle Crisologo in Vigan felt like stepping into a postcard. The morning light casted a glow on the cobblestone streets which worn smooth by centuries of footsteps of men and horses. We stopped for breakfast at a old fashioned Cafe and savoring hot Vigan longganisa and other meals which were the perfect fuel for our exploration.
Stepping back onto the street, we became time travelers. The Spanish-era houses with their old classy windows seemed to lean in to share secrets. There were also kalesa drivers passing by every time with tourists as passengers, the horse foot steps and odor like living history. We posed on several spots of the Calle as much as we could just like other tourists that were there to visit.
Then at an antique souvenir shop, we bought a small piece ref magnets, a tangible fragment for that morning. As the heat of the day began to rise, we continued a few meters more of exploring the other streets adjacent to Crisologo.
This wasn’t just a stopover for us going to Pagudpud but it was a morning that stitched itself into our family’s story which was one part history, another part was hunger and all parts wonder.
P.S. Their best empanadas are tucked beside the cathedral's plaza! 😉
